Moosilauke Ravine Lodge

Adam spent all of 2016 and much of 2017 creating the frame for Dartmouth College’s new Moosilake Ravine Lodge, in North Woodstock, New Hampshire. This monumental project, undertaken by the Wooden House Company, revolves around the natural forms of logs, with dramatic focus on forked trees that would have no value as industrial commodities. The scale of this project and the demands of joining the round surfaces to each other gave rise to new challenges every week.

This article was later also published in the UK in issue 63 of The Mortice and Tenon, the technical journal of the Carpenters’ Fellowship.
