Adam designed and fabricated the Lenox capucine to frame the kitchen window of a new home in the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts. Inspired by a traditional form found in the French countryside, this design balances the possibilities of stereotomic drawing with the straightforward lines of the house. The elliptical curves throughout help to maintain visual proportionality for a structure that is quite a bit wider than it is tall.

This may be the first capucine commissioned by a private client in the United States.
